AI-Augmented Design: Generative Application for Creative Habits
Sparks - Creativity
Context
Between exploration of AI-assisted tools and growing creative fatigue from content-heavy platforms, I explored how a mobile experience could support creativity in a quieter, more intentional way. Most tools focus on storing ideas or showcasing outcomes. Few focus on the moment of beginning.
Role
Concept Development, AI-first design & prototyping
Year
2026
Platform
Mobile, iOS
Starting is the hardest part of creating.
Creative users often face:
Blank page paralysis
Too much freedom → no direction
High pressure to produce something “good”
Tools designed for output, not initiation
The Problem
The Objective
Create a concept for a calm, personal creative companion that removes the pressure of the blank page by generating structured “Sparks”, short creative prompts combining emotional tone, imaginative direction, and difficulty-based constraints. Each Spark encourages users to begin creating within a defined time frame, turning inspiration into a simple daily ritual.
Use AI as a supporting layer, not the core experience.
The Concept
A mobile app that generates short creative prompts called “Sparks.” Each Spark is a 3-line structure:
Creative direction
Emotional / imaginative framing
Constraint (time or limitation)
This transforms inspiration into a repeatable creative ritual.
The experience is powered by a hybrid system combining handcrafted prompts with generative logic, allowing for both consistency and variation over time.
Spark for Visual Artist:
Create something inspired by memory
Imagine it as a physical landscape
Use only two colors
Spark for Writer
Write a scene that begins with someone leaving
Let it carry a quiet emotional tension
Limit yourself to 200 words
The Two-Axis Spark Setting
To balance freedom and structure, I designed a system with two independent parameters:
Y-Axis: Challenging or Gentle (Execution Pressure)
Controls how constrained the task is.
X-Axis: Grounded or Surreal (Conceptual Depth)
Controls how abstract or exploratory the idea is.
Together, they create 25 unique creative modes.
Outcome
Reflection
This was a project where I focused on learning:
Designing systems vs screens
Balancing structure and freedom
Creating emotional, not just functional UX
Using AI as a supporting layer, not the core experience
Next Steps
In collaboration with my iOS developer friend Tomer, we are currently building the first version of the app, with an initial release planned.
Adaptive difficulty over time
Personalized creative patterns (Creative DNA)
Expanded crafts and prompt libraries
Community share & feedback layer
Creation based prompts: “Write a song for this image”
